The relation between politeness and pragmatics is that in each country, people have some rules, and if you don´t know them, someone is going to missunderstand you, and you'll get in trouble, so according to the politeness rules that each country has, different actions are judged as rude and polite.

  3. Politeness is defined as using communicative strategies to create and maintain social harmony. So, I can infer the relation with Pragmatics is that Politeness have inluence on the speaker's intention because can be contextually appropiate, follow social norms and other aspects.

The relation between politeness and pragmatics is that the politeness refers to behavioral rules that it operates in conversational exchanges and is related to the pragmatic as it is studying aspects of meaning and use of language that depend on both the speaker and the listener in a context gave.

Politeness is related to Pragmatics, because as it is defined as "the means employed to show awareness of another person's face", we can say it has its basis on the social aspect of an interaction and the INTENTION according to the context on a discourse; which is strictly related to pragmatics and the speaker's awareness of what is said in a defined context.
